  1. Melt the butter in an appropriately-sized pot
  2. Stir in the evaporated milk and the brown sugar
  3. Bring to a boil on medium-high heat
  4. When it reaches 235-240 degrees F, remove from heat,
    add the icing sugar, and beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes
  5. Pour into prepared pan to cool

  6. Store in an airtight container to mitigate drying
  7. Refrigeration optional
